Leaf arrangement on Sidewalk

The day it was pouring rain for hours, I saw the leaves fall. Place right outside my apartment building there were several different colors of leaves. I quickly decided to rearrange them in some shape because I didn't want anybody walking over them. I don't know why I picked a trangular shape, but it was the first shape came to my mind. I got this idea from the discussion in class of how some earth artist has actually done something like this and took photpgraphs as people walked by. I didn't have enough time to photographs after people had walked on the leaves.

  1. Nice idea ... time is an important part of art making .... especially this form of art making ...

  2. I definately agree with you on that, because if I did have enough time I would've taken the other leaves not contributing to the structure out of the frame. This way the only focus would be on the arrangement of the leaves of bright color. Also, more time would give me a chance to photograph the random scatter of leaves caused by time. I think it would be a neat concept to look into. I my choose this to be my final project, but I am still thinking.

  3. I think the other leaves help because they show a different contrast ... in this case, more would be better ...
